Our Christmas Gift Guide

It is so hard not to get caught up in the consumerism of Christmas. Buying gifts with thought, intention and purpose is such a beautiful contrast to the reality of more stuff.

We have put together a Christmas gift guide with recommendations from our team in the hopes that they will be suggestions for those ‘tricky to buy for loved ones.’

Here’s what our wonderful team recommended when asked what your go is to gift from Down to Earth Organics?’

Lee – The Hohepa Star Pyramid candle! I’m gifting that to myself this year (laughs) does that count? It’s going to live on the dining room table where it will probably never be lit as it’s far too pretty, the bees wax smells just as divine lit or not.

Not only are they so beautifully made they are also supporting a great cause.

Josie – I often give December gifts in the lead up to Christmas as I love the activities and traditions of Christmas more than the actual day. My gift recommendation is any of the Kereru essential oils that smell like Christmas. The smells of cinnamon, frankincense, nutmeg, vanilla or citrus always make December feel just that extra magic.

Lisa D - The Trilogy Body Bliss gift pack is what I’d buy as a gift, most likely for my sister, although if she reads this and I decide to keep it I might be in trouble!

Melissa C - I know exactly what I would recommend and buy myself! The Apostle Hot Sauce Gift Pack. I have definitely been swayed by the number of customers ooh and ah’ing over the beautiful packaging and artwork, and that’s before they have even tasted the chilli oil and hot lavender-rosemary honey. A great gift to look at, taste and receive!

Libby – I found the perfect gift in-store for one of my best friends. Sienna nail polish in Magnolia pink and gentle lilac. She is this talented, artsy, colourful photographer who lives in wellington and always has her nails done perfectly.

Helen – My choice is a crowd pleaser. The recently discovered Malva honey caramels, (a much better choice than your classic favourites box). We always try to buy local when possible, so this is a great option.

We have a whole table in store dedicated to Christmas giving, not to mention a Christmas edit online.

We hope that you give and receive with thought this Christmas.
