Did we mention Down to Earth has a strong family focus? Hallie, Deb’s daughter, has been with us for a decade and is an amazing natural health and retail specialist. Recently she has become our wholefood retail manager and is busy doing the buying and keeping our shelves bursting with goodness.
DEB
Affectionately regarded by customers and the team as our Store Mother. Previously a Down To Earth co-owner herself, we are so grateful to have this amazing woman on board supporting our community with the incredible knowledge gained during 40-years of working as a naturopath.
MELISSA
A lover of Down to Earth from way back when alfalfa and egg wraps were sold at our counters, the cheerful and compassionate Melissa has always known that one day she would become part of the Down to Earth family. Melissa loves a good chin wag, meeting all of our wonderful and interesting customers and is passionate about a healthy, happy and organic lifestyle.
Helen
A blast from the past (she worked at Down to Earth ten years ago before starting her family), Helen is a naturopath, mum of 3 boys and one of our health specialists who enjoys showing others how they can lead a more balanced and energised life.
Lee
Health specialist and Down to Earth co-owner Lee has a background in nutrition, yoga and skincare. She methodically researches to make sure our shelves are stocked with the best natural products available. While living in France with her husband Conrad Smith and 2 young children for the last 5 years, Lee-Anne took the opportunity to finish her studies in health science to further her knowledge health and wellbeing and has a special interest in children's health and development.
Libby
Bubbly Libby brings a creative flare to Down to Earth Organics with her merchandising skills. An artistic soul, Libby has a side-hustle creating beautiful textiles which we are lucky enough to retail in-store this season.
Lisa H
Our in-house health specialist and homeopath is also our longest-serving team member – having been part of the Down to Earth Organics community for fifteen years. Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable in homeopathy and not only is she here to help you personally, but she also has an interest in animal health and all things natural.
Lisa D
Our other co-owner Lisa is a marketing guru who learnt her craft in media and wholesale in Auckland and London, but now prefers the Taranaki beach life. Lisa is busy behind the scenes, establishing relationships with suppliers, growing our social media communities and sourcing new and inspiring products for our shelves.
Simon
Lisa’s Husband and our inhouse graphic designer, responsible for refreshing our logo and in-store rebrand and making the staff laugh when he pops in.
Conrad
Lee’s husband and our strong handy man (you may have spotted him changing the kombucha keg from time to time) and legal advisor.
Jason
Lee's brother and our fresh produce assistant who makes sure our produce deliveries are received smoothly twice weekly and the quality is up to standard.
Ella
We like to keep it in the family at Down To Earth! Ella is the granddaughter of Deb and daughter of Hallie. Brought up on wholefoods and good values working at Down To Earth after school was a natural progression for Ella. When Ella is not bagging up organic flour, lentils and dried fruit you will find her dancing or at the beach.
